Picture what’s possible

Stories help people see what’s possible. Through grants, residencies, and other forms of support, our storytelling program backs the artists documenting the solidarity economy as it exists in places like cooperatives, community gardens, mutual-aid networks, local businesses, and artist collectives.

Storytelling microgrant applications are now closed

Submissions for our first grant series have closed, and we are excited to begin working with this new cohort of storytellers. Thank you to everyone who applied. We'll announce new opportunities for 2027 — stay tuned.

In the meantime, follow along as we share more about the artists and stories we’re supporting.

The future is already taking shape

Conversations about economic change can easily become abstract. But across the country, people are already creating practical alternatives to systems that concentrate wealth, ownership, and decision-making power. This work supports storytellers who illuminate new models of ownership and wealth to help audiences visualize local answers to the world's toughest economic questions.
